The search for Miss Uganda 2015 was launched on Friday evening at Kampala Serena Hotel with Crown Beverages Limited under its Mirinda brand seemingly taking over the pageant as the main sponsors from last year’s Namunkekera Rural Industrial Centre (NRIC), an agricultural institute.
Hundreds of teenagers from a number of schools flocked Garden City Roof Top on Saturday 9th May for the launch of Mirinda Miss Teens 2015 which will run under the theme “Work Hard, Play Hard.”
Because Mirinda Miss Teen is usually seen as an occasion for holiday makers to loosen up and express themselves, it was only fitting that a kaleidoscope of over achieving fashion statements be prominently displayed at the event.
The teenagers were treated to heated dance sessions by the Dj,dance and rap battles and fashion shows orchestrated by the two MCs of the day.
Mun G and Maurice Kirya excited the kids with performances of songs most popular among the teen population. The event was ended with a performance from Lilian Mbabazi who did not disappoint.
For the next few weeks, Mirinda will go on a countrywide search for the fairest teenager who will take over the crown from current Miss Teens 2014-2015 Keza Namazzi.
