Phone Arena has acquired three images of the alleged Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime that has a front and rear panel of aluminum chassis in place of the chrome plastic frame of the earlier product.
Although, the company has refuted reports that it is launching a premium variant of its flagship smartphone, however the three images obtained by PhoneArena prove that the premium version is very much in the offing.
Apparently, Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime will have a similar design to Galaxy S5 but the loudspeaker will be shifted to the bottom panel as against being on the rear in S5.
The premium version of Galaxy S5 is expected to have a fingerprint scanner as the display seen in the images has a swiping cube at the bottom.
Hearsay has it that the Galaxy S5 Prime would be launched mid-June with other highlights as a Quad HD display and a rear camera with OIS (optical image stabilistaion).
Besides a quad-core Snapdragon 805 chipset, Adreno 420 GPU and 3GB of RAM, Android 4.4.3 is also expected to be a part of the specs of the new version of the flagship smartphone.
Another version of the S5 called Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, which will be a rugged-variant, with LTE and NFC connectivity besides a 2800mAh battery.
