Oman Orient Travel enters tour operation


Oman Orient Travel & Tours, a travel and tourism services provider for the last 24 years in the country under the chairmanship of Sheikh Mubarak Juma Ali Bahwan, has entered the field of tour operations. 

The office located in CBD area, Ruwi was officially opened by Paul Gregorowitsch, chief executive officer of Oman Air in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed Mubarak Juma Ali Bahwan, vice-chairman, Oman Orient Travel & Tours; Abdul Majid Majali, general manager; and P. Rajeev, managing director.

The official opening of the tour operations is marked by the company’s launch of a one-of-its-kind programme ‘Coast to Coast, across the Arabian Sea’ tour packages combining Muscat and the south Indian state of Kerala. For all the discerning tourists in both Muscat and Kerala, this is the first time the facility is being available with such ease.

“We want to give the customers complete freedom of choice for their destination but at the same time offer professional guidance,” said Sheikh Mohammed Mubarak Juma Ali Bahwan.

Oman Orient Travel & Tours makes sure all their travel services from the conception of tour idea to provision of accommodation to the transport and excursions are to the liking of each customer. “We take care to make each tour custom-made. The customers, especially ladies, have their privacy while discussing their holiday plans and couples, their honeymoon trips, with our tours experts,” said Abdul Majid Majali, the group’s general manager.

“One of our biggest forte is support to the sub-agents in capital area as well as in interior areas of Nizwa, Sur, Ibri among others. I think it is a great venture for young qualified Omani entrepreneurs to start their own travel agencies. I have been here for quarter of a century and now I want to give back to the society and be part of a national drive towards small and medium enterprises,” said P. Rajeev, managing director of Oman Orient Travel & Tours.

He has proposed that the interested youth to approach him and they will have a guided approach toward achieving their dream of owning a travel agency in their home-town. 

“The infrastructure in Oman has been ideal for our business growth, especially the extensive guidance and support from our partners including Bank Muscat,” added Rajeev.
