Terminator: Genisys will be Reboot of Terminator Series With Two Sequels

The ever growing Terminator Franchise announced about the fifth installment in 2013. As Terminator Salvation worked on every possible idea for Terminator Franchise so it kept us wondering what the producers are thinking about? Finally it is revealed that Terminator Genisys will be a reboot of Terminator Series. However Unlike other reboots, this reboot will have the original cast member playing the original character. Yes, Arnold Schwarzenegger will return to the reboot playing T-800 Machine. Its still unknown if he will play the bad @$$ T-800 of The Terminator or the soft hearted ‘Asta La Vista’ machine of Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Due to Arnold’s age and physical look its better to keep him on a good side as he might not play a great villain now.

The concept and idea of T-800 machine is old so it would be better to put Arnold in a scenario where he is outcast from the Robotic society and he helps John to win the resistance battle. The Beautiful Emilia Clarke (Games of Thrones Fame), Jason Clarke (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) and Jai Courtney (Divergent fame) have joined the star cast to play the roles of Sarah Connor, John Connor and Kylie Reese respectively. Other cast member includes Matt Smith, JK Simmons and Dayo Okeniyi.

The idea of reboot of Terminator series gives a wide range of possibilities to the director and writers. It is already confirmed that Dayo Okeniyi will play the role of Danny Dyson’s son. For those who don’t know Danny Dyson was the character who designed Skynet system. Dayo will play his son Miles Dyson and probably will be key character in the story line.

It has been confirmed that Terminator Genisys will have two sequels. Terminator Genisys 2 and 3 will be simply called Terminator 2 and 3 as the series is being rebooted. The announced release date for Terminator 2 are July 2017 while Terminator 3 will be released in 2018. Due to such tight schedule it is rumored that whole story line and plot of the trilogy is already approved by the studios and the last two films will be shot back to back in a gap of nine months. We will hope that this reboot works out the same was as Batman Begins and Rise of the Planet of the Apes worked out for their respective series.
