The Amazing Spider-Man SPOILERS!
So, as anyone who saw The Amazing Spider-Man 2, will know, it ended with one of the most famous and devastating moments from the comics – the death of Gwen Stacy.
Fans of the Spider-Man reboot, however, are now wondering what will happen to the movies without the chemistry between its two main stars, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone.
Which brings us to the question – should Gwen Stacy be brought back for The Amazing Spider-Man 3, or would it be better, like in the comics, to have Peter Parker move on, meet Mary Jane Watson, and begin his new life?
The Jackal & Gwen Stacy’s Return!
There is a plot line in Spider-Man comics that have Gwen Stacy return to life. Dr Miles Warren, a professor at Empire State University, knew Gwen and was secretly in love with her.
He is driven mad by her death, believing Spider-Man to be to blame for it. Like so many others in Spider-Man’s New York, he gives himself a new name – the Jackal – and begins to plot against the famous web-slinger.
