Comedian-Tanmay-Bhat-Snapchat-Video-On-Sachin-Tendulkar-Lata-Mangeshkar- Celebs Slam Comedian

Comedian Tanmay Bhat has apparently gone too far in his attempt to create humour, as his subject of comedy this time was two of the biggest legends of India — Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar. A video, created by Tanmay and shared on Facebook, shows the comedian cracking apparently not-so-funny jokes on the cricketer and the legendary singer.

Tanmay is seen simultaneously face-swapping with Sachin and Lata, and making fun of the cricketer’s batting and the singer’s looks. He showed them getting involved in a verbal argument over Virat Kohli in the video created on Sanpchat.

Tanmay started the video imitating Sachin and asking fans if they think Virat was a better batsman than him. Soon he started imitating Lata and said Virat was indeed a better batsman than Sachin. Then followed some punchlines apparently insulting the legendary singer.

Some of the punchlines are: “Lata tai you are 5,000 years old so stay the phuck out of this, [sic]” “Your face looks like someone has kept you in water for eight days[sic]” and “Jon Snow died, so you should also die. [sic]” Tanmay posted the video with the caption: “Sachin vs Lata Civil War (I make such nonsense on my snapchat – follow me there – ID: Thetanmay) (Also I obviously love Lata and Sachin, just having some fun). ”

The jokes on Sachin and Lata did not go down well with many of their fans. A number of Bollywood celebrities have also expressed displeasure at it. Most of the comments on the video were against such comedy and slammed Tanmay, asking the comedian to apologise to the legends for the act.

Several Bollywood celebrities took to Twitter and criticised Tanmay for “insulting” the two veterans in the name of comedy.

Tanmay and his team had received immense criticism for the very divisive AIB Roast that had featured Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor. However, the AIB team had also received much support as many had urged people to take the event sportingly. However, Tanmay has apparently not been appreciated by too many for his jokes on Sachin and Lata .
