A NATO service member died following a helicopter crash cash in southern Afghanistan on Wednesday.
The alliance following a statement said, “An International Security Assistance Force service member died as a result of a helicopter crash in southern Afghanistan Wednesday.
The statement further added, “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends affected by this tragic event.”
The exact location of the incident and nationality of the deceased soldier were not disclosed in the statement.
International Security Assistance (ISAF) generally do not disclose identities of the NATO soldiers killed in Afghanistan, saying, “It is ISAF policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities.”
