Shah Rukh Khan becomes doctor conferred with Honorary degree at the Edinburgh University

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan tweeted sharing special news with all his fans and followers on his micro-blogging account. The 49-year- old actor posted a picture of himself along with tweet reading, “I am a Doctor all over again…yay!!” Shah Rukh has received the prestigious Degree of Doctor Honoris Causa from the Royal Highness the Edinburgh University. The Dilwale actor had flown to Edinburgh where he was conferred with the Honorary Doctorate Degree.

Looking all dapper in the formals, Shah Rukh Khan expressed his joy on receiving the estimable Honorary Degree. Writing on Twitter, SRK tweeted, “Her Royal Highness & Prof. Jeffery & Smith & all us colleagues thank u for the Degree of Doctor Honoris Causa.” It is definitely a proud moment for the actor, the film fraternity and the country.

This is not the first time, Shah Rukh has been honoured with such respectable honours. In 2014, the Badshah of Bollywood was honoured with France’s highest honour – Knight of the Legion of Honour. King Khan was conferred by French foreign minister Laurent Fabius with his country’s highest civilian award — Knight of the Legion of Honour — on Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to cultural diversity across the world.

Meanwhile, on the work front, he is currently shooting for Dilwale. And he seemed to be impressed with the end product of his much-anticipated romantic-comedy. The upcoming Rohit Shetty directed movie, whose last shooting schedule is underway in Hyderabad, will bring back the iconic pair of Shah Rukh and Kajol after a gap of five years.
