Police in central Vietnam has detained a man accused of killing and robbing an Indian national earlier this month.
Truong Van Quang, 30, are under investigation for allegedly killing Nathu Singh Solanki, a technician at a quarry in Chau Tien commune, Nghe An Province, on July 11, the police said.
Quang told the investigators that he was walking home, carrying a knife, in Chau Tien that night when he saw Nathu parking his bike by the road to urinate.
Quang allegedly he picked a fight with Nathu, and stabbed him in the neck. When Nathu tried to run away, Quang chased him and stabbed him multiple times until he collapsed.
Quang then took a golden ring and VND10,000 from the victim, as well as his motorbike, and fled.
The police said Quang,a drug user, was convicted once for robbery.
Investigation is ongoing.
